Aboard a space-lab orbiting Jupiter, illegal genetic experiments have produced dangerous post-human "Evolver" candidates, like you: codename "Atlas". Engineered by a science team undergoing a bloody mutiny, you are deployed to free the station against an onslaught of experiments gone wrong in an experiment out of control.
This project began with the development of the first prototype in 2006, in a top-down format that spun the world around the fixed player, a view meant to simulate a 3D third-person shooter experience in a 2D world. The engine development was re-approached in 2009, using a traditional top-down camera, focusing on writing code in the new ActionScript 3.0. It was re-approached a third time to utilize the Flixel ActionScript framework.
Like Alloy, Evolver had to go on indefinite hiatus when I accepted the position with Activision.
